This standalone processor is part of the Modicon M580 range, an offer of Programmable Automation Controllers (PAC) and safety Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) with built-in Ethernet. This product offers a maximum of 8 local rack configuration with up to 4096 discrete I/O channels and 1024 analog I/O channels. The Modicon M580 automation platform complies with "TC" treatment requirements (treatment for all climates) and can operate in temperatures ranging from 0°C to +60°C/32°F to 140°F. The new grey design is applied for this module with a weight of 0.849kg and its new dimensions 64x130x135mm. This module meets the needs of applications in Transportation, Water and Waste Water, Consumer Packaged Goods, Mining Minerals Metals, Power generation, Energies and Chemicals, and Data centers. This product complies with CE, UL, CSA, RCM, EAC, and UKCA standards and is certified for Power Generation, Merchant Navy, Railway and Hazardous areas applications. The CPU must be installed in the rack slots marked 00 and 01, with 2 screws on top of the CPU to maintain the module on the rack. This product can be used in combination with Modicon X80 (I/O, backplane, cable) and works with the EcoStruxure Control Expert programming software.
